You kiss Heather, and a gasp escapes her throat and goes into your mouth. It tastes like potatoes. Despite her surprise, she doesn't pull back; in fact, she kisses you harder than you're kissing her. Whether if it's you or the fact that you're both about to die, you don't know. However, you do know that this is definitely the best way to go.
There's a bright flash and a deafening roar. Everything shakes violently, and then there's nothing but white.
And Heather, who's still attached to your lips.
When you two finally break the kiss, you both look around, terrified.
"Are we dead?" Heather asks.
"I don't know."
Wherever you are, at least you're with Heather.
Both of your stomach's rumble, and you both sigh.
"Do you think there's anything to eat around here?" you ask.
"I don't know, but I guess we should start looking, huh? We'll need water, too."
"Lead the way, Heather."
"Well, actually Default," Heather looks to the side. "I think it'd be best if we look separately. I mean, we'll be able to see each other from practically anywhere, and we'll cover more ground that way. It'll up our chances big time."
You shudder. "But I don't wanna be alone."
"Me either. But we have to find food and water if we're gonna last...wherever we are now."
You hug Heather. "I'm scared."
"Me too, Default. Me too." She looks you in the eye again. "How about this: if you wanna look together, we'll look together. If you wanna separate for a little while, we'll do that. Okay?"
"Okay..." you begin to think.
